A very little hero
Thomas Castello, a three year old boy saved a whole family during a fire yesterday.
Thomas was playing in his big garden when he saw fire coming out of the guardian’s house, which is located 40 meters from his house. He thought it was interesting and went to see what it was. When he got to the door he heard his friend, the guard’s son, asking him to open the door, they were locked inside. Thomas did it and saved them.
“A little longer in there we would have suffocated” said Charlie Holmes, the guard. “I always have the keys with me I must have dropped them today”. After Thomas set the family free they called the firemen who came very quickly and put the fire down. The cause of the fire is attributed to a shortcut.
Susan, Thomas mother, says she was doing the laundry when everything happened, she said that Thomas couldn’t reach the door that leads to the garden before that day. Susan thought Thomas was playing with his cars in his bedroom but when she couldn’t find him anywhere in the house she went outside and saw fire, she run to see what was going on and saw Thomas opening the door of the guardian’s house, she took him and went to call the fire station.
“Everything happened so fast, I left Thomas in his bedroom and I took just a moment putting the clothes in the washing machine, and when I came back he was gone” said Susan. She said she was so upset because she couldn’t find Thomas but after she knew what he did she was very proud.

My thoughts

In life, most of the time we spend our time following a rutine and very quickly we start doing things automatically. But we can't live like that for so long, so that is when accidents happen. Before a fractured my anckle I was not paying attention to my walking, it was so easy that I just took for granted that I was able to walk. Even when we know that so many people are not able to walk we are not grateful. This time has made me realize how lucky I am and my whole family is to be complete. Also I am very grateful of my family and friends that have been very supportive with my condition. So maybe accidents are a wake up call to appreciate what we have.

Without a leg for a while

It was a a beautiful sunny Saturday morning, I woke up very excited because I was going to play tennis with my mom and dad. I love tennis, it is my favorite sport, for it I have stopped smoking and I was starting to change my life style. But anyway, we were playing doubles with my parents and friend of them, it was a very exciting match, we were 5-5. Suddenly a really fast ball came to my side of the court, I thought I was not going to be able to get it but I tried anyway. I managed to hit the ball and just then I steped wrongly and twisted my ankle. I couldn't even scream, it was hurting so bad. No one notice I was down for a while because I hit the ball so they just continued playing. Not so nice. I have been with a cast for 12 days no and I have 8 more to go. I hope it goes by quickly.
